Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medication Aide for our 7:00-7:00 shift, to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing care to seniors. This position requires a strong understanding of physiology and anatomy, as well as a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. The Medication Aide will work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care for our patients.

Duties

Administer medications to patients as prescribed by healthcare providers.
Monitor patients for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications.
Assist in the daily living activities of residents, including personal hygiene and mobility support.
Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient care.
Collaborate with nursing staff to develop individualized care plans for patients.
Provide support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive environment.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations while providing care.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Experience

Previous experience working in Senior care.
Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and dementia care is highly beneficial
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices is essential.
A background in caregiving or hospital environments will be advantageous.
Certification as a Medication Aide or equivalent training is required.
