Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Counter Sales Representative to join our hydraulic service team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers seeking hydraulic parts, accessories, and repair solutions. Your energetic approach and excellent communication skills will help you build strong relationships with customers, understand their needs, and provide tailored recommendations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your sales expertise while leveraging your knowledge in the fluid power industry to deliver exceptional customer service. You will play a vital role in ensuring smooth inventory management, accurate order fulfillment, and efficient sales operations.

Responsibilities

Greet customers promptly and professionally, providing expert advice on hydraulic/ fluid power parts to include seals, adapters and custom hose/ valve solutions
Assist customers in identifying their needs through active listening and product knowledge, measurement of various components and parts to offer suitable solutions to enhance performance and maintenance of hydraulic components
Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves accurately, conducting regular stock checks, and maintaining organized displays
Process sales transactions efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems, handling cash and electronic payments with precision
Collaborate with the service team to coordinate the time and repair orders, ensuring timely delivery for customer satisfaction
Maintain detailed records of sales activities, inventory control, and order fulfillment using SAGE our (Computerized Management System) software
Foster positive customer relationships through excellent phone etiquette, clear communication skills

Requirements

Proven experience in retail sales or shop/field environments within the fluid power industry is preferred
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills coupled with fluid power concepts and diagnostics knowledge
Use of measuerment devices (calipers and micrometers) to aid in the measuerment of hydraulic seals and components
Familiarity with hydraulic repair processes, components, and parts management is highly desirable
Ability to handle inventory management tasks including stocking, order fulfillment, and inventory control
Proficiency in using POS systems, Microsoft Excel, SAGE software, and retail/basic engineering math principles
Exceptional communication skills in multiple languages (bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus)
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cashiering, stock management, and maintenance tasks
Valid driver’s license preferred but not required
