Full Job Description

The Shawhan Assisted Living by Elmwood in Tiffin is now hiring for a Part Time Midnight Shift LPN! Elmwood offers a $1,000 Sign-On Bonus to LPNs! The Part-Time Midnight LPN position works from 10pm-9am; 3 days a week, every other weekend rotation and holiday rotation! This position is eligible for Paid Training, Paid Sick time, and more! All Part-time positions include free meals, birthday pay, perfect attendance pay, pick-up pay and mandation pay! Duties of the Midnight Shift LPN position include:

Job Summary:

Renders nursing care to residents. Observes and reports resident’s symptoms and conditions to oncoming nurse and the physician as indicated. Takes and records vital signs. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician and notes responses. Prepares instruments and other equipment and sees that all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained. Assists physician with treatments and rounds as assigned. Calls ambulance and notifies family as necessary. Maintains records reflecting residents' condition, medication, treatments, and responses. Bathes and feeds residents. Makes arrangements for admissions under the supervision of the Director of Nursing or the Health Services Coordinator. In charge of immediate, complete, and accurate update of resident records in accordance with physician orders and nursing observations. The nurse is responsible for the premises during times when the Executive Director, Director of Nursing (DON)/Health Services Coordinator(HSC), Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), Assistant Health Services Coordinator(AHSC), and/or Owner are not on the premises. Assists in maintaining physical, social, psychological environment, which will be of benefit to the best interest and welfare of the residents. Knowledgeable of current rules and regulations and complies with necessary paperwork. Attends meetings as assigned. Supervises care managers/STNAs on the shift being worked in the absence of the nursing leaders. Reports any discrepancies in quality patient care to the DON/HSC. Assures that the Care Plans and Individual Service Plans are implemented as written. Performs any other duties as assigned.

Responsibility For:

Nursing and personal care of the residents ensuring quality care is provided.

Supervision:

The nurse is directly responsible to the Health Services Coordinator in Assisted Living or the Director of Nursing in the Skilled Nursing Facility, and then the Administrator/Executive Director. The nurse supervises the care managers and STNAs of that shift in the absence of the Assistant Director of Nursing or Assistant Health Services Coordinator.

Education:

Completed an approved RN or an LPN nursing school and must be currently licensed in the state of Ohio.
