Lead Residential Carpenter – Rough & Finish (Framing / Trim)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Residential Carpenter skilled in both framing and finish carpentry to join our team. Our projects include new residential home, ADUs, residential additions and remodels, and high-quality finish work such as doors, windows, trim, and cabinetry.
This role requires a professional carpenter who takes pride in craftsmanship, communicates well with project managers, and works efficiently to meet project timelines while maintaining high standards of quality.
Responsibilities
The carpenter will work directly with the contractor and project manager to complete work according to project plans and schedules.
Rough Carpentry
- Residential framing (ground-up construction, remodels, and additions)
- Deck construction and exterior structural work
- Layout and framing according to plans and specifications
- Structural modifications during residential remodel work
Finish Carpentry
- Door and window installation
- Interior trim and molding installation
- Custom carpentry and decorative finish work
- Cabinet installation and finish details
Typical Projects
Our team primarily works on high-quality residential construction including:
- ADU construction
- Residential additions
- Ground-up framing
- Remodel carpentry
- Decks and exterior structures
- Door and window installation
- Custom trim and finish work
- Cabinet installation
Required Qualifications
- 7–10 years of residential carpentry experience including rough framing and finish carpentry
(exceptions may be considered for highly skilled candidates)
- Strong understanding of residential framing standards and finish carpentry techniques
- Ability to read and interpret residential blueprints and plans
- Personal professional carpentry tools, including but not limited to:
- framing nailer
- finish nailer
- miter saw
- circular saw
- layout and measuring tools
- basic hand tools
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with supervisors and project managers
Evaluation & Performance Expectations
New hires will be evaluated on:
- Ability to meet project timelines
- Demonstrated knowledge of framing and finish carpentry standards
- Knowledge-based carpentry assessment including blueprint reading and safety
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and craftsmanship
- Punctuality and reliability
- Professional conduct when working in occupied residential homes, including:
- Cleanliness
- Respect for homeowners and property
- Jobsite awareness

Compensation & Benefits
- $34–$45 per hour depending on experience and skill level
- 401(k) eligibility after 1 year of employment (minimum age 21)
- Vacation eligibility after 2 years
