Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Clerk to join our logistics and supply chain team. In this role, you will oversee inventory accuracy, coordinate stock levels, and ensure seamless warehouse operations through precise data management and process optimization. Your expertise will support efficient procurement, inventory management, and distribution activities, contributing to the overall effectiveness of our supply chain. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, technical proficiency with warehouse management systems, and experience in logistics inventory control. 7am-3:30pm M-F

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP software such as AS400 or similar platforms
Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and stock reconciliations to identify discrepancies
Analyze inventory data through spreadsheets, Power BI dashboards, and data visualization tools to inform decision-making
Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to optimize stock levels and reduce excess or obsolete inventory
Perform root cause analysis on inventory variances and implement corrective actions for process improvement
Support demand planning and forecasting activities by analyzing historical data from Nielsen or other analytics sources
Manage shipping & receiving processes, including materials handling, order fulfillment, and logistics coordination
Assist in developing category management strategies to improve stocking efficiency and reduce costs
Utilize data mining techniques to extract insights from large datasets for supply chain analytics
Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions, supplier management activities, and materials movement

Requirements

Proven experience in warehouse distribution, inventory management, or supply chain operations
Strong technical proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms (such as AS400), and Excel data analysis
Knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and logistics inventory management
Familiarity with demand planning tools like MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform financial modeling and data visualization using Power BI or similar tools
Experience with category management, merchandising, and pricing strategies
Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement process improvements effectively
Hands-on experience operating forklifts and handling heavy materials is preferred
Strong cross-functional communication skills to collaborate with suppliers, warehouse staff, and procurement teams
Basic math skills combined with technical proficiency in inventory control software and analytics tools
