Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen operations and maintain the highest standards of food quality and service. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Latin American and fusion cuisine, preferably bilingual in Spanish and English. They should possess over two years of experience managing a kitchen, be ServSafe certified, and be able to process orders, manage inventory, and control payroll. Strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for culinary excellence are essential for this role.

Duties

Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality meals.
Manage and control kitchen shifts, including scheduling, payroll, and inventory.
Develop and implement training programs to improve staff skills in food management, safety, and customer service.
Maintain inventory control, minimizing waste, ensuring ingredient availability, and managing vendor relationships.
Collaborate closely with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
Maintain a clean, organized kitchen that complies with all health and safety regulations.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Provide support during banquet events, ensuring high-quality food service.
Utilize Toast POS for order processing, tracking, and managing operational tasks.

Experience & Skills

2+ years of proven experience in kitchen management or a similar role in the hospitality industry.
Strong background in food management practices, safety regulations, and sanitation standards.
ServSafe certified (required).
Proficiency in managing inventory, payroll, and shifts, with experience using Toast POS.
Bilingual in Spanish and English (Preferably ).
Experience in training and developing culinary staff to improve team performance.
Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences.
