Position Summary

The Accounting Manager supports the Finance department by overseeing core accounting functions, ensuring accuracy of financial reporting, and supporting the organization’s financial operations.

This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to maintain financial integrity, support month-end close, and contribute to process improvements across accounting and reporting functions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements and supporting schedules
Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies
Partner with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting and operational alignment
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Maintain compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting standards
Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests
Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency within accounting functions

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

Experience

3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or a related industry
Experience supporting financial close processes and reconciliations

Skills & Abilities

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (Sage preferred)
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and collaboration skills

Work Environment

On-site role based in Burlington, NC
Collaborative, fast-paced finance and manufacturing environment

Compensation

Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000 (Exempt)
