Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Accounting professional to join our team! In this vital role, you will manage a wide range of financial and accounting tasks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Your expertise will support our organization’s financial health, compliance with accounting standards, and smooth operational flow. Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts, including account reconciliation and journal entries.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all financial data aligns with bank statements and internal records.
Manage payroll processing, ensuring timely and correct salary disbursements while adhering to relevant regulations.
Utilize financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms to record transactions, generate reports, and analyze financial data.
Prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other applicable standards.
Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and financial analysis to support organizational planning and decision-making.
Conduct governmental or non-profit accounting tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with specific regulations and standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with familiarity using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems.
Strong understanding of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, general ledger reconciliation, and account analysis.
Experience with payroll processing, tax preparation, and government reporting is highly desirable.
Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for data analysis and report writing.
Knowledge of GAAP standards and governmental or non-profit accounting practices preferred.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform account reconciliation accurately and efficiently.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Basic typing skills (10-key) for data entry accuracy; familiarity with financial concepts such as budgeting is a plus.
