Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager and Front Desk Clerk to join our hospitality team at a prominent hotel and resort. This dual role requires a professional with strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations. The ideal candidate will oversee daily front desk activities, ensure guest satisfaction, and support management in operational tasks. Bilingual skills and hospitality management experience are highly valued to enhance guest relations and streamline hotel services.

Duties

Manage front desk operations, including check-in/check-out procedures and guest inquiries
Provide exceptional guest services, addressing concerns promptly and professionally
Oversee reservation systems, including multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette standards
Assist with night audit procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting
Support hotel management in daily administrative tasks and staff coordination
Maintain high standards of guest relations, ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors
Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
Handle guest complaints or issues with tact and efficiency to uphold the hotel's reputation
Train and supervise front desk staff to ensure adherence to hotel policies and service standards

Qualifications

Proven experience in hospitality management or hotel operations, preferably in a resort setting
Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and guest relations
Bilingual or multilingual abilities to serve diverse clientele effectively
Familiarity with front desk functions, including night audit procedures and multi-line phone systems
Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and professional demeanor
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Leadership qualities with the ability to supervise staff and support team development
Knowledge of hotel management software is preferred
Previous hotel experience is highly desirable
