JOB TITLE: DIGITAL PLATFORMS COORDINATOR
REPORTS TO: MANAGING DIRECTOR
Job Summary
The Digital Platforms Coordinator serves as SBCA's primary administrator and coordinator for a diverse portfolio of technology platforms, websites, applications, and digital tools that support association operations, education, events, member engagement, e-commerce, and program delivery. This role acts as a central technology resource for the organization, overseeing the implementation, configuration, maintenance, integration, and optimization of numerous systems while ensuring data accuracy, functionality, and a seamless user experience across platforms. Success in this position requires a highly adaptable individual who can quickly learn new technologies, manage multiple systems simultaneously, troubleshoot complex issues, and effectively coordinate with staff, vendors, and third-party administrators (TPAs). The Digital Platforms Coordinator works closely with senior leadership to evaluate, implement, and support technology solutions that advance organizational goals, serving as the internal "technology wrangler" responsible for keeping SBCA's digital ecosystem connected, functional, and continuously improving.
This role focuses on the administration, integration, and optimization of technology platforms rather than software development. Strong technical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, project management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-platform environment are essential to success.
Digital Platforms Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Assist with web development on all aspects of websites and application design.
- Assist with the implementation, testing, and maintenance of backend and front-end applications.
- Collaborate with designers and TPAs to implement new web features.
- Collaborate with management to evaluate, implement, and manage new technologies, automated systems, and digital platforms.
- Keep up to date with the latest technology and programming trends.
- Convert video, audio, written, and graphic components into compatible formats for the web.
- Review user feedback to identify and troubleshoot problems with SBCA’s websites and third-party platforms.
- Brainstorm and propose opportunities for innovation and optimization.
- Collaborate with marketing, communications, and other teams to execute digital campaigns and projects.
- Support email marketing efforts, including list management, audience segmentation, and campaign deployment.
- Assist with the creation, publication, and maintenance of digital content across association platforms, including websites, forms, publications, multimedia channels, and analytics tools.
- Respond to incoming customer inquiries across phone, email, or digital channels (as needed).
Digital Platforms Coordinator Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Digital Communications, Marketing Technology, or a similar field is preferred
- At least 2 years of working experience in a similar role
- A portfolio of web design and projects completed
- Experience working with coding languages such as HTML, CSS, and PHP (other languages a plus)
- Experience working with WordPress, MS 365 Administration, MailChimp, JotForm, Shopify, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Soundcloud, YouTube, Vimeo, and Adobe products (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Ability to gain a working understanding of Vitrium, Lead Marvels, Cvent, and Academy of Mine LMS
- Strong computer literacy and technical aptitude
- Excellent communication (oral/written) and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of software prototyping and UX design tools
- Goal-oriented with strong organizational and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Occasional travel to an SBCA-related event or conference
Salary and Benefits
This is a non-exempt position with a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications, with a beginning wage expected to be in the range of $35.00- $38.00 per hour, plus overtime. Work from Home
This is a Work from Home position and not centric to a specific geographic location. Successful candidate will be located within the United States and have high-quality, functional, high speed internet access. Computer and accessories will be provided by SBCA while the candidate is expected to have a desk or workspace capable of creating a successful work environment. Occasional travel to SBCA meetings, conferences, and staff meetings may be required.
Physical Requirements
- Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to type at a fast pace for long periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
- Ability to travel with a commercial airline.
