Career Recruiting is seeking an experienced assistant plant manager to work in the middle Georgia area. My client is expanding and there will be many advancement opportunities. They offer an excellent salary and benefits. This is a direct hire position.

Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Assistant Plant Manager to join our dynamic production team. This pivotal role involves supporting the overall management of manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production processes, and fostering continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in manufacturing systems, and a commitment to quality and operational excellence. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment dedicated to innovation and process optimization.

Duties

Assist in overseeing daily manufacturing operations to meet production targets, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Support production scheduling and planning activities using ERP systems such as SAP and MRP modules to optimize resource allocation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality control, supply chain, and maintenance to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Analyze production data using Microsoft Excel and supply chain analytics tools to identify areas for process improvement.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Monitor manufacturing management systems for real-time performance tracking and issue resolution.
Lead efforts in continuous improvement projects focused on process enhancement, cost reduction, and quality assurance.
Facilitate communication between departments to ensure alignment on production goals and operational strategies.
Support inventory management, supply chain coordination, and procurement activities to ensure timely availability of materials.
Contribute to mechanical troubleshooting, assembly line optimization, and plant management initiatives.

Experience

Proven experience in production management or manufacturing management roles within a similar industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent enterprise resource planning software.
Demonstrated expertise in supply chain management, logistics, and operations management.
Proficiency in data analysis using Excel for reporting and decision-making purposes.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques, process improvement strategies, and Six Sigma methodologies.
Mechanical knowledge relevant to manufacturing equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster cross-functional collaboration.
Effective communication skills suitable for working with diverse teams across multiple departments.
