DIRECTOR OF PHARMACY

Join our executive leadership team as the Director of Pharmacy and play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of pharmacy services and patient care.
We're seeking experienced pharmacy leaders with a hospital background. If you're currently an Operations Manager or have hospital pharmacy leadership experience, we encourage you to apply and take the next step in your career.

Full-Time | Direct Hire | Monday–Friday | Day Shift

6 direct reports: 4 Pharmacists and 2 Techs

Lead a hospital pharmacy department while remaining actively involved in clinical pharmacy practice.
This Working Director position combines pharmacy leadership, operations management, and direct patient care in a collaborative acute care hospital.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Reports to CEO
No weekends for Director
Monday–Friday schedule with day shift hours
Clinical and Operational; Opportunity to improve patient care and pharmacy ops
Full-time, permanent position
Supportive executive leadership team
Collaborative interdisciplinary healthcare team

Role:

Lead the daily operations of the hospital pharmacy department, including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and team development.
Provide strategic leadership while ensuring the delivery of safe, effective medication management and high-quality patient care.
Oversee pharmacy operations, medication safety initiatives, quality improvement programs, regulatory compliance, and accreditation standards.
Direct antimicrobial stewardship, anticoagulation management, sterile compounding, and controlled substance programs.
Develop and implement policies, optimize workflows, and drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and executive leadership to advance organizational goals while mentoring and developing pharmacists and pharmacy staff.

Qualifications:

Hospital pharmacy leadership experience required. Supervisors and Managers qualify!
Strong knowledge of health-system pharmacy operations, medication safety, regulatory compliance, and clinical pharmacy practice.
Proven leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
Current California Pharmacist license
