Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Survey Party Chief to lead land surveying projects and coordinate field activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of land surveying techniques. This role involves ensuring accurate data collection and delivering precise survey results for a variety of construction, land development, and infrastructure projects. The Survey Party Chief will play a critical role in maintaining safety standards and ensuring project timelines are met with high-quality outputs.

Duties

Lead and supervise survey crews in the field, assigning tasks and ensuring accurate data collection using GPS, Total Stations, Trimble equipment.
Perform land surveying tasks including ALTA surveys, topographic mapping, construction staking, and schematic development.
Ensure all survey activities comply with safety standards and project specifications while maintaining quality control.
Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to deliver accurate survey data for construction layouts, ALTA surveys, and other land development needs.
Maintain detailed field notes and documentation of survey data for project records.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Land Surveyor or Survey Party Chief with a strong background in land surveying techniques and civil engineering principles.
Proficiency in GPS technology, Trimble equipment, ALTA surveys, Data collection methods, Land Surveying standards.
Strong understanding of geometry, algebra, trigonometry, math fundamentals related to surveying calculations.
Experience with construction staking and schematic development for infrastructure projects.
Ability to lead field teams effectively while maintaining safety protocols on-site.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in data accuracy and project deliverables. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring technical expertise in land surveying combined with leadership responsibilities essential for project success.
