Full Job Description

Aya Healthcare is seeking an Infusion Scheduling Coordinator in Coon Rapids, MN for a 3 month contract!

MUST HAVE ONCOLOGY INFUSION SCHEDULING EXPERIENCE!

Coon Rapids, MN | $24–$27/hour | Monday–Friday | Day Shift

We are seeking an experienced Provider Coordinator to support a busy specialty healthcare environment in Coon Rapids, MN. This is a full-time, onsite contract opportunity ideal for a healthcare scheduling professional with strong Epic experience and direct infusion scheduling experience.

Candidates must have previous experience scheduling infusion appointments in a healthcare setting. Oncology infusion scheduling is preferred, but infusion scheduling experience within other specialties will also be considered.

Position Details

Location: Coon Rapids, MN 55433
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Pay: $24–$27/hour
Position Type: Full-Time, Onsite
Contract: 13 weeks with potential for extension
Start Date: ASAP
Weekends: No regularly scheduled weekends

What You'll Do

Schedule and coordinate infusion treatments, patient appointments, procedures, diagnostic testing, and other healthcare services.
Manage complex patient and provider scheduling workflows using Epic.
Maintain provider schedules and calendars while ensuring scheduling information is accurate and up to date.
Manage referral, insurance, and scheduling work queues and complete timely follow-up.
Verify insurance coverage and assist with prior authorization processes as needed.
Coordinate patient registration and administrative activities.
Provide telephone coverage, respond to patient inquiries, and route messages appropriately.
Review patient records and obtain outside medical documentation when necessary.
Ensure documents are accurately scanned and indexed into the electronic medical record.
Coordinate interpreter services when needed.
Support multiple providers in a fast-paced specialty clinic environment.
Assist with records management, reporting, training materials, and onboarding activities.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
Direct infusion scheduling experience is required.
Strong recent Epic scheduling experience is required.
2–5 years of experience in medical office administration, healthcare scheduling, patient access, provider coordination, or a related healthcare setting.
Experience coordinating provider schedules and patient appointments within an EMR/EHR.
Strong healthcare customer service and administrative support experience.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex scheduling workflows.
Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience

Previous Allina Health experience.
Oncology infusion scheduling.
Previous Provider Coordinator experience.
Insurance verification and prior authorizations.
Referral, insurance, or scheduling work queues.
Medical records management.
Patient-facing healthcare experience.
Experience supporting multiple providers.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has recent Epic experience, hands-on infusion scheduling experience, and a strong healthcare scheduling background. You should be comfortable independently coordinating complex schedules, communicating with patients and providers, and managing multiple priorities in a busy specialty clinic.

Pay Range: $24.00–$27.00 per hour
