About Fortitude Roofing
Fortitude Roofing is a growing residential roofing company serving homeowners across coastal North Carolina. We are building a disciplined, high-accountability production team focused on quality workmanship, excellent communication, jobsite safety, crew support, and an outstanding customer experience.
Production is where our promises become reality. Homeowners do not just remember the roof. They remember how clearly they were communicated with, how clean the jobsite was, how safe the crew operated, how well their property was protected, and how professionally the job was finished.
That is why the Project Manager role matters.
The Project Manager is the field leader responsible for making sure each project runs smoothly, customers receive an unmatched customer experience, and the crew feels appreciated. You are the connection point between the homeowner, the crew, the office, and Fortitude’s production standards.
Position Summary
The Residential Roofing Project Manager oversees assigned roofing projects from preparation through final close-out. This role is responsible for leading the jobsite, communicating with homeowners, supporting crews, enforcing safety standards, documenting progress, resolving field issues, and making sure every project is completed the Fortitude way.
The right person is organized, proactive, calm under pressure, and comfortable leading in the field. This person understands that a well-run job creates a better experience for the homeowner and a better workday for the crew.
When the Project Manager does the job well:
- Homeowners feel informed, respected, and confident.
- Crews know the plan, have what they need, and can work safely.
- Jobs stay organized, clean, and complete on time
- Problems are handled early instead of becoming escalations.
- Work is documented properly.
- Jobs are closed out completely and professionally.
Why This Role Matters:
Customer Experience
Homeowners judge roofing companies on communication, organization, cleanliness, and follow-through. Fortitude’s internal customer standards emphasize clear, professional, proactive communication at every stage .
As the Project Manager, you are the person the homeowner sees and hears from during the most stressful part of the project: install day. Your communication, presence, professionalism, and attention to detail directly affect how the customer feels about Fortitude Roofing.
You are responsible for making sure the homeowner knows what is happening, who to contact, what to expect, and how the job is progressing. A great Project Manager reduces anxiety, builds trust, and turns a construction project into a professional experience.
Crew Safety
A safe jobsite does not happen by accident. It requires preparation, attention, leadership, and enforcement.
The Project Manager is responsible for monitoring jobsite safety, enforcing safe work practices, identifying hazards, and making sure crews are set up to work efficiently without unnecessary risk. That includes jobsite organization, material placement, ladder setup, property conditions, cleanup, and making sure unsafe behavior is corrected immediately.
Safety is not optional. It protects the crew, the homeowner, the company, and the quality of the work.
Crew Job Satisfaction
Crews do better work when the job is organized, materials are correct, expectations are clear, and problems are handled quickly.
A strong Project Manager helps create that environment. This role supports crews by making sure they understand the job, have what they need, are not dealing with avoidable confusion, and can focus on quality installation. Fortitude’s production leadership standards emphasize making sure crews are supported, customers are communicated with, and jobs are closed out the right way .
