Projects can range from 25 lot residential subdivisions to heavy industrial or clean energy of any size.
We are looking for Area Superintendents for projects in Arizona.
The Area Superintendent role combines strategic oversight with hands-on management to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As an energetic leader, you will coordinate with various teams, contractors, and stakeholders to drive project success from inception through completion. Your expertise in construction management software, project scheduling, and site supervision will be instrumental in maintaining seamless operations and fostering a culture of excellence.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of construction projects within the designated area, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and supervise on-site personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to promote efficient workflows and high-quality workmanship.
- Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to track progress and adjust plans proactively.
- Coordinate procurement, budgeting, and resource allocation to optimize project efficiency and cost control.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings thoroughly to ensure clarity and accuracy before execution.
- Monitor construction activities daily, conducting quality control inspections and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.
- Utilize construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid for accurate cost forecasting and resource planning.
- Conduct regular site meetings to communicate progress, address challenges promptly, and motivate teams toward shared goals.
- Maintain comprehensive records of safety incidents, progress reports, change orders, and other project documentation.
- Ensure all work aligns with safety regulations by enforcing OSHA standards and conducting safety training sessions as needed.
- Use management skills to supervise multiple projects simultaneously while fostering a positive team environment focused on continuous improvement.
Experience:
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in supervising large-scale projects within the pipeline or heavy civil sectors.
- Demonstrated proficiency in project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Primavera; experience with HeavyBid is a plus.
- Extensive hands-on construction site experience with a solid understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
- Strong knowledge of contracts management, budgeting processes, and quality control procedures in a construction environment.
- Familiarity with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, OSHAs standards, and other industry tools.
- Supervising experience leading diverse teams on complex projects while maintaining high safety standards.
- Ability to read technical schematics accurately using tools like an ohmmeter when necessary for electrical or instrumentation work.
- Excellent management skills with a focus on team development, problem-solving, and proactive communication.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This position requires regular work at active construction sites and exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including high and low temperatures, dust, noise, and uneven terrain.
The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods; frequently bend, kneel, reach, and use hands and arms; and communicate effectively through speaking and hearing. Pay: $145,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
