We're looking for an experienced Lead Drafter who is passionate about design, accuracy, and leadership. This is more than a drafting position, it's an opportunity to lead our drafting department, mentor team members, and play a critical role in bringing our customers' dream outdoor living spaces to life.

Responsibilities

· As our Lead Drafter, you'll oversee the drafting department while producing high-quality construction plans that support our sales, permitting, and production teams.

· Lead, assign, and manage the daily workflow of the drafting team

· Review, approve, and provide quality control for all drawings before release

· Draft detailed construction plans using Revit and SketchUp

· Support the Administrative Project Manager with permitting plans and revisions

· Ensure company drafting standards, templates, and best practices are consistently followed

· Coordinate with Sales, Project Managers, Permitting, and Production to resolve design challenges

· Provide coaching, feedback, and technical guidance to members of the drafting team

· Conduct field visits to customer homes as needed to support the design-build process

· Identify opportunities to improve drafting efficiency, accuracy, and departmental processes

· Maintain organized project files and documentation

· Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

· Experience with Revit and SketchUp is required

· Strong understanding of residential construction methods and building codes

· Experience reviewing and managing construction drawings

· Previous leadership, mentoring, or team coordination experience preferred

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Strong attention to detail with exceptional quality standards

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

· Strong communication and collaboration skills

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Drafting, Construction Management, or related field preferred
