Full Job Description

Stark State College is seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time instructor to join our Mathematics Department. The successful candidate will contribute to the college's commitment to academic excellence, student success, and community engagement.

Typical Responsibilities Include:

Prepare and deliver evening, weekend, and web-based courses in Mathematics.
Use of learning management systems and/or learning new software as needed.
Participate in mandatory college activities that support the department and the mission of the college.
Additional responsibilities include preparing instructional materials and assessing student performance, including electronic submission of never attends, early alerts, mid-term grades, and final grades by the required dates.
Have the ability to work with a wide range of learning styles and backgrounds.

To Be Considered, You'll Need:

A Master's Degree in Mathematics or Statistics or a related field OR a Master's Degree (any discipline) and 18 graduate credit hours in Mathematics or Statistics.
To demonstrate effective communication and organization skills.
To show evidence of the depth of knowledge, background, and continual development in the field of teaching and area of expertise.
One year or more of tutoring or teaching is preferred.

Stark State College utilizes E-Verify to ensure compliance with applicable employment eligibility laws. E-Verify is an electronic system used to confirm the employment eligibility of new hires. This process will be conducted in accordance with I-9 verification and will be done promptly upon hire for all incoming employees.
