Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Preparer/Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and compliant tax returns for individual clients and small businesses. Your expertise in tax law, accounting principles, and various tax preparation software will ensure clients receive thorough and timely service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in tax reporting, client communication, and financial analysis within a supportive environment that values continuous learning and professional growth.

Responsibilities

Prepare individual and small business tax returns using Prosystem Tax FX software.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws by staying current on relevant regulations and updates.
Gather and analyze financial documents including W-2s, 1099s, balance sheets, income statements, and other supporting documents.
Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and answer questions regarding their filings.
Maintain accurate records of all tax documents and client interactions.

Qualifications

Proven experience in accounting with a focus on tax preparation or public accounting.
Strong knowledge of tax law, tax reporting procedures, and relevant software such as QuickBooks.
Demonstrated expertise in partnership tax, corporate tax, and individual tax return preparation.
Familiarity with bookkeeping practices and technical accounting standards is preferred.
Prior experience with payroll and payroll taxes a plus.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, Quickbooks and tax software.

Pay: $25.15 - $30.29 per hour
