The Marketplace at Nobles Pond: OLINDA – Modern Plates + Pours.

Canton, Ohio

Gervasi Destinations is excited to officially announce the name of its newest restaurant OLINDA – Modern Plates + Pours.

OLINDA is our toast to the beauty of gathering. Named in honor of Gervasi matriarch Linda Swaldo, the name is derived from the Portuguese translation “Oh, Beautiful.” It reflects both the elegance of the space and the warmth of the experience. Stylish yet personal, OLINDA speaks to a celebration of togetherness while serving as a meaningful tribute to family.

Starting Pay: $19.00/hour and up, depending on experience

Kitchen Manager Responsibilities:

Lead and operate shifts.
Prepare prep daily prep lists for staff based on the needs of outlets and par levels.
Prepare all food items according to standardized recipes and/or as specified. Check to ensure consistency of product.
Labeling and stocking all ingredients in storage areas so they can be organized and easily accessible.
Assist with ordering of products from vendors based on established par levels.
Keep all refrigeration, storage and working areas clean, working conditions to comply with Health Department regulations.
Ensure all equipment in working areas is clean and in proper working conditions.
Prepare food items for production in the workstation. Read and use math skills to appropriately prepare items according to recipes.
Train kitchen staff in proper food preparation techniques and food safety procedures as they relate to the position.
Requires stamina for standing and strength for lifting and moving products.
Assist with plating of food, ensuring that finished plates are presentable.
Help distribute food to various outlet locations from central kitchen by assisting with or driving golf cart, mid-size car or large van. Load varies; weather conditions vary. If required to drive, you will be asked to sign a driving agreement upon hire and be provided with some remedial training.

Kitchen Manager Requirements:

Previous experience working as a cook required
Previous Kitchen Manager experience preferred-not required
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by OLINDA Management team from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position
