Come work for one of the most iconic restaurants on Cape Cod, located on scenic Route 6A in Yarmouth Port. Oliver’s & Planck’s Tavern offers a fun, fast-paced, and welcoming work environment, a loyal base of regular guests, and competitive pay.

Family-owned and operating since 1983, Oliver’s & Planck’s Tavern is dedicated to serving great food and drinks while delivering upbeat entertainment in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere for Cape Codders and visitors alike.

A cozy dining room with traditional Cape Cod favorites
Planck’s Tavern with 30 indoor bar seats, high-tops, and booths
An outdoor bar and deck with 12 seats—perfect for summer cocktails
A full menu served all day

Shift Availability

Lunch: 10:00am – approximately 5:00pm
Dinner: 3:00pm – Close

Position Summary

We are seeking a professional Line Cook to prepare menu items to the chef’s specifications and support daily kitchen operations. Line Cooks play a critical role in maintaining food quality, consistency, and speed of service while working collaboratively with the culinary team.

Responsibilities

Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
Prepare food for service (chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, portioning proteins, etc.)
Cook menu items in coordination with the kitchen team
Follow instructions from the Chef and Sous Chef
Maintain a clean, organized workstation and properly store leftover food
Assist with inventory stocking and rotation
Ensure all dishes are delivered simultaneously, on time, and to quality standards
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
Maintain a positive, professional attitude with coworkers and guests

Qualifications & Skills

Proven cooking experience as a line cook, prep cook, or restaurant cook
Strong understanding of cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and kitchen procedures
Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a high-volume environment
Familiarity with industry best practices for food safety and sanitation
Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic
