Full Job Description

Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort and Spa is looking for a full-time Laundry Attendant.

If you are clean, friendly, and love the clean laundry smell, this job is for you!

What you will be doing:

Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron laundry items, including linens, towels and bed coverings.
Operate commercial washers, dryers, and related laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
Inspect laundry for stains, tears, or damage and treat accordingly or report when necessary.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area at all times.
Track and report inventory levels of laundry supplies (detergents, softeners, etc.).
Follow proper handling procedures for all laundry chemicals and adhere to safety protocols.
Deliver clean laundry to designated areas as required.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and standards related to hygiene, safety, and customer service.
Communicate effectively and efficiently with guests, to co-workers and supervisors.
Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

The ideal candidate for this position:

Candidates must have the work permit and proper paperwork to be employed in the USA.
Previous experience is a plus but not necessary.
Flexible hours according to hotel needs, the candidate must be able to work on weekends.
Ability to communicate with guests.
Ability to stand for up long periods of time.
Ability to provide friendly guest service with a smile.
Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight. (minimum of 50 lbs.)
