Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, and maintaining a lively, efficient work environment. Your leadership will inspire culinary excellence, uphold rigorous food safety standards, and elevate the dining experience for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate culinary professional eager to showcase their skills in a fast-paced, fine dining setting.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high standards of quality and consistency
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and motivation to foster a cohesive team environment
Oversee food safety and sanitizing procedures to maintain compliance with health regulations and ensure guest safety
Manage inventory control and food management processes to minimize waste and optimize cost efficiency
Coordinate with catering and banquet teams to deliver seamless service during large events and special functions
Participate in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques
Support shift management by organizing staff schedules, monitoring performance, and ensuring smooth kitchen workflow

Qualifications

Proven experience in fine dining environments with strong culinary skills and leadership capabilities
Demonstrated supervising experience within a busy kitchen setting
Extensive banquet, catering, and restaurant management experience preferred
Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures, inventory management, and cost control strategies
Skilled in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling practices
Familiarity with dietary department requirements and accommodating special dietary needs
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff members
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in menu planning, shift management, and inventory control
Previous experience in hospitality or food service management is highly desirable
Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
