Full Job Description

SOC Analyst
*This is an onsite position.
*Local to the Harrisburg, PA area only, please

Description:

These Tier I level analysts will act as a core member of the NSOC team contributing to overall operational readiness and support a 24/7 shift schedule.
Interested candidates must be willing to take on other shifts.

Responsibilities:

Support a 24/7 schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Provide proactive on-site monitoring and response for mission-essential communication sites and information systems.
Classify prioritize and escalate alerts promptly to ensure timely resolution.
Follow established procedures for data collection, triage analysis, classification, and escalation to meet performance targets.
Capture log, respond, and escalate events from email chat voice and other systems with accurate documentation.
Collect and analyze technical data to classify events distinguish valid issues from false positives and maintain triage accuracy standards.
Work with team members to develop and refine playbooks dashboards metrics and detection strategies.
Coordinate effectively with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of incidents and recommended response actions.
Provide support during network and security incidents, assisting with resolution efforts as directed.

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced high-stakes environment
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Willingness to work flexible shifts in a 24/7 schedule
1-3 Years of experience working in a security operations center.
