Join MP Design, a boutique commercial architectural design studio based in Downtown Canton, Georgia.
We're looking for a BIM Designer / Architectural Drafter II who enjoys creating organized, accurate construction documentation and helping strengthen the standards, systems, and workflows that support our production studio. Working directly with our Project Manager, you'll help establish project standards from kickoff through construction documentation while supporting quality, consistency, and production efficiency across the studio.
Our work includes commercial renovations, tenant improvements, mixed-use, government, assembly, and light industrial projects.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong Revit background who enjoys production, standardization, and continuous improvement, and is interested in growing into Technical Lead or BIM Management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop accurate Revit models and commercial construction documents.
- Produce schematic design, design development, permit, and construction drawing sets.
- Establish project models, templates, and documentation standards at project kickoff.
- Develop and maintain BIM standards, Revit templates, detail libraries, and production workflows.
- Support QA/QC by promoting consistency, drawing quality, and documentation accuracy across projects.
- Coordinate consultant drawings, including AutoCAD backgrounds, and support multidisciplinary coordination.
- Conduct site measurements, existing condition surveys, and field verification.
- Mentor junior production staff through training, office standards, and production best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, documentation quality, and studio workflows.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in commercial architectural production, BIM coordination, or construction documentation.
- Strong proficiency in Revit and working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Experience producing commercial construction drawing sets through schematic design, design development, permitting, and construction documentation.
- Ability to interpret architectural redlines and translate design intent into accurate construction documentation.
- Working knowledge of commercial building systems, construction detailing, and building code compliance, including ADA requirements, life safety considerations, accessibility clearances, and typical commercial planning standards.
- Ability to work efficiently across multiple projects while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ideal Qualifications
- Approximately 3–8 years of commercial architectural production experience.
- Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, BIM, Drafting, or a related field.
- Experience with commercial tenant improvements, renovations, mixed-use, government, assembly, or light industrial projects.
- Working knowledge of SketchUp and Bluebeam.
- Familiarity with Revit families, office standards, detail libraries, and BIM workflows.
- Experience documenting existing conditions and conducting field measurements.
- Rendering or visualization experience is a plus.

Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
