Position Overview (Dietary Aide)
Casper Mountain Rehabilitation & Care Center is seeking a compassionate and dependable Dietary Aide to join our team and support the nutritional needs of our residents. In this role, you will play an important part in delivering a positive dining experience by assisting with meal preparation, meal service, and maintaining a clean and safe dining environment.
As a Dietary Aide, you will work closely with dietary staff, nursing teams, and residents to ensure meals are prepared and served according to dietary guidelines, resident preferences, and regulatory standards. Your contributions directly support resident health, satisfaction, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare meals, snacks, and beverages according to established menus, dietary guidelines, and food safety standards
Serve meals and beverages to residents while ensuring proper sanitation, food handling, and infection control practices
Assist with meal tray preparation and delivery according to resident dietary orders and preferences
Set up and break down dining areas, ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
Perform dishwashing, kitchen cleaning, and general sanitation duties in accordance with facility standards
Monitor inventory levels and assist with stocking food, beverages, and kitchen supplies
Follow all facility policies, dietary procedures, and state and federal regulations
Assist residents during meal service as needed to promote a positive dining experience
Participate in nutrition-related programs, special events, and resident-centered dining initiatives
Collaborate with dietary staff and interdisciplinary team members to support resident nutritional needs
Qualifications
Previous food service or dietary experience preferred, especially in healthcare or long-term care settings
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members, and team members
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes, meal plans, and dietary instructions accurately
Compassionate and patient-centered approach when interacting with residents
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of food safety
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
