Full Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook/ Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious and high-quality meals according to our recipes and specifications. You will collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations, maintain cleanliness and food safety standards, and contribute to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate has a strong culinary background, excellent cooking skills, and a passion for creating memorable culinary creations. Hours are Monday to Saturday after 3 pm to 8 pm Sundays are always off with possibility to have one more day off we will discuss more in the interview.

Responsibilities:

Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following established recipes and portion sizes.
Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and meet quality standards.
Adhere to food safety and hygiene guidelines, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked to perfection.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and execute daily meal preparations efficiently.

Kitchen Operations, cleaning and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workstation and kitchen area.
Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to prevent cross-contamination and food spoilage.
Assist in inventory management, including monitoring stock levels, conducting inventory counts, and placing ingredient orders.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food preparation and service.

Quality Control and Food Safety: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all dishes meet our standards of taste, appearance, and portion sizes.
Adhere to food safety regulations, including HACCP guidelines, to maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.
Monitor and record temperatures of refrigerators, freezers, and food items to ensure proper storage.

Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively and collaborate with other kitchen staff members to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.
Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, as needed.
Cooperate with servers and other restaurant staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Proven work experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role.
Culinary degree or relevant culinary certifications are a plus.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
