We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced CNC Mill Set-Up Machinist to join our growing team. We are looking for a passionate and skilled machinist who takes pride in producing world-class machined components for a diverse customer base.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, setting up CNC milling machines, performing first article inspections, running production jobs, making minor G-Code modifications, deburring parts, and conducting in-process quality inspections to ensure all parts meet customer specifications.

Applicants must be drug-free and able to work in a professional manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
Set up CNC milling machines with appropriate tooling and workholding.
Perform machine setups and prove out new jobs.
Run first article inspections and verify conformance to specifications.
Operate CNC mills during production runs.
Load and unload materials and finished parts.
Monitor machine performance and identify tooling or machining issues.
Make minor G-Code edits and program adjustments as needed.
Detect and troubleshoot machining problems, tool wear, and machine malfunctions.
Deburr and finish machined components to customer requirements.
Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
Maintain quality standards and production efficiency.
Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing best practices.

QualificationsRequired Experience & Skills

5+ years of CNC machining and machine setup experience
Strong passion for precision machining and manufacturing
Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation
Thorough understanding of tolerances and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
Experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines
Knowledge and experience with Haas CNC controls
Ability to independently take a part from raw material to finished, deburred product
Understanding of G-Code and ability to modify programs when necessary
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience working with tight-tolerance machined components

Inspection & Measurement Skills

Must be proficient using:

Calipers
Micrometers
Height Gages
Bore Gages
Pin Gages
Precision Inspection Equipment

Ability to accurately inspect parts and verify compliance with engineering specifications is required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment
Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
