Full Job Description

Cherry Creek Plastic Surgery is an office based surgical center in Denver. We are expanding and looking for a surgical technologist. Job description and compensate will be determined on which position and experience etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- The surgical technologist will prepare the operating room/instrumentation/cleaning and assisting on cosmetic procedures.

-Demonstrates competency in all procedures within the scope of practice, as appropriate to the ages of the patients served, including the ability to obtain, interpret and communicate information in terms of the patient’s needs, a knowledge of growth and development, and an understanding of the range of treatment need by the age groups treated at the facility.

- The surgical tech is responsible for participating in the clinical process in all aspects of the delivery of patient care and completion of all activities according to established policy, procedures and protocols.

-Assumes the responsibility for assurance of patient safety during the state of enforced dependency created pre, intra and post-operatively.

- Provides a channel of communication between events and team members in the operating room and persons who may not be in the immediate area, but who are concerned with the patient's operative status.

- Makes provisions for instrument, supply and equipment requirements of surgical procedures as assigned.

-Participating in preoperative assessment and planning for selected surgical patients in collaboration with perioperative team members in the preoperative location.

-Recognizing safety hazards and initiating appropriate preventative and corrective actions.

-Providing exposure through appropriate use of instruments, retractors, suctioning, and sponging techniques.

-Works as a professional colleague with the perioperative team and influences multidisciplinary relationships by enhancing collaborative processes.

Education and/or Experience:

Certification from the state of Colorado for Surgical Technology.

Pay: $35.00 - $43.00 per hour
