Full Job Description

Position: Guest Service Agent Exempt/Non Exempt: Non Exempt

Reports to: Guest Service Spvsr, Night Manager Compensation: $18-$20 per hour

Direct Reports: None

Location: Catskill, NY Last Date of Change: Jan 19, 2026

Position Summary:

The Guest Service Agent plays a key role in delivering exceptional hospitality at Piaule Catskill. Working closely with the Operations Supervisor and Night Manager, the Guest Service Agent ensures each guest receives a seamless, welcoming, and elevated experience throughout their stay. This position also collaborates with the Spa Coordinator by assisting with spa operations, including break coverage, spa check-ins and check-outs, and maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of spa areas.

Essential Responsibilities:

Greet guests warmly, check them in/out, and provide an overview of Piaule’s services and facilities.
Act as an ambassador of Piaule to ensure all guests receive unparalleled hospitality.
Maintain effective communication with all departments of Piaule.
Exhibit a high level of knowledge of the local area including dining, recreation and attractions.
Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of the property, amenities and Piaule as a brand.
Answer phone calls, and inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
Respond to Guest Services and Spa emails in a professional and timely manner.
Complete daily checklists
Ensure cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the reception area and main house common spaces meet Piaule’s standards.
Conduct routine inspections of Spa, addressing any potential safety hazards and cleanliness issues; i.e. restocking of amenities and towels (washing when necessary.)
Ensure cleanliness and presentation of restrooms meet Piaule’s standards.
Be accessible to guests; listen to their concerns and ideas, interpret their needs, convey understanding, resolve concerns, and pass along information to the Supervisor
Be accommodating of a schedule that will consist of morning, afternoon, evening, weekend and/or holiday shifts.
Perform any and all duties as required as Piaule develops and changes over time.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in Hotels/Resorts , boutique property desired.
Must be fluent in English with strong verbal and written skills
Be self-motivated and have the ability to inspire and motivate others.
Dress in uniform and maintain proper personal hygiene.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Computer skills; including Google Docs and Sheets.
Be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
Be able to spend long periods of time standing
Must have a driver's license and reliable transportation

Required Skills:

Strong computer experience; including Google Docs and Sheets.
Strong interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively work with multiple teams across the property to respond to business needs.
Strong organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

A Guest Service Agent is stationed at the entrance of the Main House at a seated front desk, but will need to stand frequently, and move around the Main House and property to complete all given tasks.
