Job Title: Electrical Estimator – Cedar City, UT**

Company: Growing Electrical Contractor (20+ Years in Hospitality & Commercial Projects)

Location: Cedar City, Utah (Iron County office – hybrid flexibility possible for the right candidate)

Employment Type: Full-Time

From guest-room upgrades to complete lobby and bar reconfigurations, we’ve built our reputation on precision, quality, and delivering projects on time in high end markets.

Now we’re expanding our footprint into Southern Utah’s explosive growth corridor. With a new office in beautiful Cedar City, we’re targeting ground-up multi-family housing, commercial buildings, and hotel projects throughout Washington and Iron Counties. We’re actively seeking both local talent and experienced professionals from higher-cost markets who want a better quality of life.

The Role

We’re looking for a (Seasoned Journeyman Electrician) who has spent 10+ years in the field and is ready to transition those hard-earned skills into full-time estimating. You’ll be the key player preparing accurate bids for exciting ground-up work while leveraging the renovation expertise we already bring to the table.

Key Responsibilities

Review architectural, structural, and electrical plans/specs for multi-family, commercial, and hotel projects
Perform accurate quantity take-offs, labor estimates, and material pricing
Build and maintain professional bid spreadsheets with advanced formulas, pivot tables, and cost-tracking systems
Utilize estimating software to generate professional proposals
Attend pre-bid meetings, site walks, and coordinate with architects, GCs, and suppliers. This will include infrequent travel.
Collaborate with our project managers and field teams to ensure bids are realistic and profitable

What We’re Looking For (Our Ideal Candidate)

**Journeyman Electrician license** (or equivalent 10+ years of documented field experience)
10+ years hands-on electrical construction experience (hotel, multi-family, or commercial preferred)
Proven experience with electrical estimating software (Accubid, ConEst, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar)
**Great spreadsheet skills** — we’re talking advanced Excel mastery (complex formulas, macros, data validation, pivot tables, dashboards — you live in spreadsheets)
Strong desire to move from tools and job sites into a professional office environment \
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet tight bid deadlines
Excellent communication skills — you can talk to general contractors and field crews with equal confidence

Local Southern Utah candidates are strongly preferred, but we’re happy to talk with top talent from California, Nevada, Arizona, or anywhere else who wants to escape high living costs and enjoy Utah’s lifestyle. Relocation assistance is available for the right person.
