Full Job Description

We are looking for a Purchasing Team Member, to work at DEE Electronics, a highly successful Contract Manufacturer and Distributor, serving Equipment Manufacturer clients since 1959.

Pay depends on experience

Hours are 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 5:00PM.

Job Duties for Purchasing Team Member

Working Analytics data / Making Buy Decisions / Confirming orders /Expediting/Getting Ship dates from Vendors/Working reports, updating our System / Departments with information obtained.

Calling Vendors, Email Vendors, Updating our system. Working with Production /Sales on Needs to help with Expediting. Working with Head of Operations on urgent request needed for Purchasing.

Day to day duties could include the following: Prepares, files, and maintains physical or electronic records and documents in required formats. Compiles and verifies information using simple calculations and standard procedures. Inputs data into a tracking database or system. Retrieves documents or responds to requests for information from internal or external customers by phone or e-mail. May assist with general office tasks such as copying, mailing, and ordering supplies. Qualifies vendors, evaluates bids, and negotiates prices and terms for purchased goods and services. Assists in purchasing materials, supplies and services at the most favorable terms for the organization. Tracks purchases, monitors vendor quality, and maintains a current database of vendor information. Works with vendors to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of goods to designated locations. Expedites vendor-related production delays by resolving issues with late deliveries, discrepancies in quality or quantity, or failure to meet established specifications.
