Job Overview
Join our vibrant team as a Pet Groomer, where your passion for animals and exceptional grooming skills will help pets look and feel their best! In this energetic role, you will provide professional grooming services tailored to each pet’s needs, ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Your expertise in animal handling, pet care, and grooming techniques will contribute to creating happy, healthy, and well-maintained pets. This paid position offers a dynamic environment where your love for animals can truly shine.

Duties

Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling to meet client specifications and breed standards
Handle animals with care and confidence, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process
Utilize animal restraint techniques effectively to facilitate safe grooming sessions
Recognize signs of health issues or distress in animals and communicate concerns to veterinary staff or pet owners
Maintain a clean, organized grooming area and properly sanitize tools and equipment after each use
Assist with pet sitting or kennel duties as needed to support overall animal care operations
Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare instructions
Be able to answer phone, help with scheduling clients etc.

Skills

Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage dogs, cats, and other small pets safely and compassionately
Experience with pet grooming techniques including bathing, trimming, dematting, and styling
Knowledge of dog training principles to help manage challenging behaviors during grooming sessions
Veterinary experience or veterinary technician/assistant background is a plus for understanding animal health signals
Familiarity with animal restraint methods and pet care best practices
Ability to lift heavy objects such as large dogs or equipment safely and efficiently
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
