Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable individual to join our team as a Meat Packer. As a Packer, you will play a crucial role in the food processing industry, ensuring that products are properly fabricated, packaged, and prepared for distribution. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical knowledge and a passion for food production.

Responsibilities:

Assist with morning set-up and afternoon break-down
Receive, identify, separate and package cuts accordingly using vacuum sealer.
Confirm accuracy of order comparing cuts received to the customers cut sheet.
Inspect products for quality and ensure they meet company standards.
Confirm all product packaged and labeled correctly, boxed appropriately, and then bring the finished product to the freezer.
Adhere to the company’s food safety standards as outlined in the plants Good Management Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedure (SSOP) plans.
Following safety regulations and adhere to company policies & procedures
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
Participate in end of day cleaning
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Previous experience in the food industry or food processing is preferred but not required
Knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) guidelines is a plus
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to read, write and speak English
Must be able to stand for long periods of time in a cold environment and be able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively
