Summary:
The Senior Multimedia Specialist develops and produces creative multimedia content that supports the organization's marketing, branding, and communication efforts across tribal government, corporate, retail, tourism, and community initiatives. This position creates high-quality digital and print materials, photography, videography, motion graphics, and other visual content while ensuring all communications reflect the organization's brand standards and are culturally respectful and appropriate. Working collaboratively with departments across the organization, the Senior Multimedia Specialist provides creative leadership, mentors marketing staff, and utilizes innovative technologies to enhance public engagement, promote organizational initiatives, and strengthen the visibility of the Tribe and its enterprises.
Responsibilities:
Creative StrategyBrand Management:

Develop innovative multimedia concepts and creative campaigns that support organizational goals and promote tribal enterprises.
- Ensure consistency of the organization's visual identity and brand standards across all digital and print platforms.
- Interpret and communicate the organization's mission, culture, and values through compelling visual storytelling.
- Collaborate with department leadership to develop creative strategies that increase public awareness, engagement, and participation.
- Recommend new creative approaches, technologies, and trends that strengthen marketing efforts while maintaining cultural integrity.
Multimedia Production:

Produce high-quality photography, videography, motion graphics, animation, and digital media for marketing campaigns, events, social media, websites, presentations, advertising, and internal communications.
- Plan, direct, shoot, and edit promotional videos, interviews, event recaps, documentaries, and educational content.
- Design graphics and marketing materials including advertisements, brochures, signage, banners, presentations, newsletters, and promotional collateral.
- Create content optimized for multiple platforms including websites, social media, digital advertising, email marketing, and broadcast displays.
- Maintain organized multimedia libraries and digital asset management systems.
EventRetail Marketing Support:

Capture professional photo and video coverage of community events, cultural celebrations, retail promotions, grand openings, and organizational initiatives.
- Develop promotional materials supporting retail businesses, tourism, entertainment venues, and community programs.
- Collaborate with event teams to develop creative concepts before, during, and after events.
- Produce multimedia content that increases attendance, customer engagement, and awareness across tribal enterprises.
Digital MarketingSocial Media:

Create engaging multimedia content for social media platforms that supports audience growth and community engagement.
- Develop short-form and long-form video content tailored to various digital platforms.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital channels.
- Analyze multimedia performance metrics and recommend improvements based on audience engagement and campaign effectiveness.
LeadershipCollaboration:

Serve as a senior creative resource for the Marketing Department by providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to multimedia specialists, graphic designers, and other marketing staff.
- Assist in coordinating creative projects, production schedules, and departmental workflows.
- Collaborate with leadership, internal departments, vendors, and community stakeholders to ensure projects meet organizational objectives.
- Support project management by prioritizing multiple assignments while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
Cultural Stewardship:

Ensure all multimedia content accurately represents and respects tribal history, traditions, values, and cultural protocols.
- Collaborate with tribal leadership, cultural advisors, and community representatives to ensure culturally appropriate messaging and imagery.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with culturally sensitive information and tribal events.
- Promote authentic storytelling that reflects the identity and diversity of the tribal community.
TechnologyInnovation:

Stay current on emerging multimedia technologies, production techniques, software, and industry trends.
- Recommend equipment upgrades, software improvements, and production workflows to enhance departmental capabilities.
- Troubleshoot multimedia equipment and maintain production resources.
- Support live streaming, audiovisual presentations, and multimedia technology for meetings, community events, and organizational functions.

Physical Demands:

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Design, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, Film Production, or a closely related field. Or equivalent education and experience

CPR and First Aid Certification within 90 days of hire.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for client meetings and events.

Valid AZ driver's license, provide a 39-month satisfactory MVR report.

Obtain a Tribal operator driving permit at the time of hire.
-
A satisfactory result obtained through a test for illegal drugs.

Acknowledge and agree to maintain a drug-free workplace.
Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge and experience working with Gila River Indian Community or other Native American Communities.
- Proficient in MS office and other relevant workplace tools.

Experience working with Tribal Governments or Native American communities.
- Knowledge of tribal customs, traditions, and cultural protocols.
- Experience with live event production and streaming technologies.
- Motion graphics and animation experience.
- Experience using content management systems, social media management platforms, and digital asset management software.
