Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled people to join our vibrant culinary team! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes using wok techniques, ensuring each meal meets our high standards for quality, flavor, and presentation. Your culinary expertise will help deliver an exceptional dining experience to our guests, whether in a fast-paced restaurant setting or catering environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in food preparation, kitchen operations, and high-volume production to showcase their skills and grow within a dynamic food industry environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook a diverse range of Asian-inspired dishes using wok techniques, including stir-fries, braising, poaching, grilling, and food production methods.
Follow detailed recipes and menu specifications to ensure consistency and quality across all dishes.
Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including woks, burners, knives, and other culinary tools.
Maintain strict food safety standards by adhering to sanitizing procedures, proper food handling practices, and food safety management protocols.
Assist with menu planning by suggesting new dish ideas or modifications based on ingredient availability and customer preferences.
Ensure timely meal preparation during high-volume service periods while maintaining attention to detail and presentation.
Collaborate with team members to uphold cleanliness standards in the kitchen and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
Participate in food service activities such as catering events or special functions as needed.

Experience

Candidates should possess prior experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a focus on Asian cuisine or wok cooking. Experience in fine dining settings or high-volume production environments is highly desirable. Proven skills in food preparation, knife handling, recipe adherence, and operating commercial kitchen equipment are essential. A strong understanding of food safety sanitizing procedures and food safety management practices is required to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and quality. Previous restaurant experience or roles involving food handling within the food industry will support your success in this role.
