Full Job Description

Job Title: Front Desk Agent

Reports to: Front Office Manager

Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina, rated as the #1 resort in South Carolina, has a fantastic opportunity for a Front Desk Agent to join our team. We offer FREE Parking, FREE associate shift meals and other benefits in an upscale Resort setting. The prime candidate will take pride in their work and demonstrate high levels of integrity.

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for ensuring the appropriate arrival and departure experience of guest in a courteous and professional manner while maintaining Luxury Four Diam/Four Star Standards. Additionally, the Front Desk Agent will be responsible for ensuring that standards are met consistently pertaining to the resort. The Front Desk Agent must be creative and have exceptional communication and time management skills. Qualified candidates must exceed expectations, by having great initiative and enthusiasm.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITES:

· Be thoroughly acquainted with all check in and check out policies and procedures

· Oversee pre-arrival communications for all arriving guests

· Oversee and directly handle all guest issues pertaining to service and billing

· Be familiar with all technical equipment related to the Front Office

· Be familiar with all hotel facilities and offerings.

· Understand the influence and importance of all departments to the Front Office

· Train and develop all new and existing associates on a continuous basis

· Understand and be able to control rooms inventory

· Familiar with all reservation packages

· Understand all radio codes and emergency procedures

Qualifications/Requirements:

· Attain a high propensity for customer service

· Must have previous cash handling experience

· Must be proficient with all Microsoft systems

· Broad knowledge of Opera PMS, HOTSOS and Go Concierge system is a plus

· Previous leadership experience in a luxury resort environment is a plus

· Must be flexible with scheduling to include mornings, nights, night audit, holidays and weekends.

Applicants must be able to pass a drug test and background check.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
