Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our team at a well-established and busy Neurology clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, and maintaining accurate medical records. This role requires excellent phone etiquette, clerical skills, and familiarity with medical billing processes.

Duties

Greet patients as they arrive and assist them with the check-in process.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
Handle phone calls professionally, addressing patient inquiries and concerns.
Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Process patient information and insurance claims
Perform clerical tasks including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry and billing processes.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth operations within the clinic.

Experience

Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with medical billing procedures and insurance verification is advantageous.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong phone etiquette are necessary for this role.
