Full Job Description

Staff Accountant / Bookkeeper

Hours & Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

During tax season (January 1 through April 15), minimal overtime may occasionally be required.

Outside of tax season (April 16 through December 31), schedule flexibility is available.

This is an in-office position. Remote work is not available. As a client-focused firm, we are committed to being accessible and responsive to our clients during standard business hours.

Compensation

Compensation is based on experience, with opportunities for continued growth and advancement within the firm.

About the Role

We are a well-established accounting and tax firm with more than 50 years of combined experience, proudly serving over 900 clients across 19 states.

We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Staff Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our team—someone who will complement our collaborative environment and is ready to grow in their career.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Processing accounts payable and reconciling vendor statements
Recording customer payments and managing accounts receivable
Processing manual and electronic payroll
Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax filings and payments
Performing bank reconciliations and other general bookkeeping functions
Maintaining accurate financial records for multiple clients
Assisting with additional accounting and client service projects as needed

What We’re Looking For

Prior bookkeeping experience required
QuickBooks experience preferred
Payroll processing experience preferred
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Professional and approachable communication style
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Integrity and discretion when handling confidential client and financial information
