Senior Salesforce Administrator & Data Cloud Lead

Reports to: Director, Data and Analytics

Employment: Full-Time, Exempt

Company Summary

StationMD is a telehealth company dedicated to serving individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD). All StationMD clinicians are board-certified and specially trained to treat individuals with I/DD. Clinicians are available 24/7 via telemedicine for urgent and non-urgent medical matters. StationMD also offers scheduled psychiatry visits via telemedicine to individuals with I/DD. In providing this suite of services, StationMD enables individuals with I/DD faster access to high-quality care and substantially reduces unnecessary medical costs.

Position Summary

This role serves as StationMD’s senior Salesforce platform administrator and Data Cloud lead to manage day-to-day Salesforce administration, optimize our Data Cloud implementation, provide light development support, and contribute to platform architecture decisions. This position complements our existing Salesforce Developer & Automation Engineer by focusing on platform administration, data governance, Data Cloud management, and solution design while handling routine development tasks such as Flows and formula-based customizations. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, user enablement, scalable architecture, and optimal utilization of Salesforce's data capabilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Salesforce Administration:

Manage Salesforce user administration including Permission Sets, Roles, Profiles, and security settings
Handle user provisioning, deactivation, and access management across the organization
Configure and maintain standard Salesforce functionality including objects, fields, page layouts, record types, and validation rules
Manage sandbox environments and coordinate deployment processes
Stay current with Salesforce releases, new features, and best practices to continuously improve system performance
Provide technical support to end users across departments and troubleshoot system issues
Train team members on Salesforce features and functionality

Light Development:

Build and maintain Salesforce Flows for business process automation
Create and manage formula fields, validation rules, and roll-up summaries
Write basic SOQL queries for reporting and data extraction needs
Develop simple Lightning page customizations and app configurations
Partner with the Salesforce Developer & Automation Engineer on more complex development projects requiring Apex or Lightning Web Components

Architecture & Solution Design:

Contribute to Salesforce architecture decisions, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions
Design and optimize data models, object relationships, and schema structures
Evaluate declarative vs. programmatic approaches and recommend appropriate solutions
Document architectural standards, design patterns, and best practices for the Salesforce platform
Assess platform limits and governor limits when planning new features or integrations
Participate in technical design reviews alongside the Salesforce Developer & Automation Engineer
Provide input on integration architecture patterns for data flowing into and out of Salesforce

Data Cloud Management:

Oversee Salesforce Data Cloud implementation and manage various data streams for optimal data flow
Configure and maintain data model objects, identity resolution rules, and calculated insights
Build and manage segments, activation targets, and data actions within Data Cloud
Monitor data ingestion processes and troubleshoot data quality issues
Develop and optimize data mappings between source systems and Data Cloud
Design Data Cloud architecture to support analytics and activation use cases

Data Governance & Quality:

Ensure Salesforce data hygiene, scalability, and system reliability through proactive monitoring and maintenance
Implement and enforce data governance policies and standards
Conduct regular data audits and cleansing activities
Provide data backup/restore, business continuity, and disaster recovery support to ensure system uptime and data protection
Monitor system performance metrics and recommend improvements to enhance user experience and data accuracy

Reporting & Analytics Support:

Create, maintain, and manage comprehensive Salesforce reports and dashboards to support Growth, Operations, and Finance departments
Support the Data and Analytics team with data extraction and preparation needs
Develop and maintain technical documentation for Salesforce configurations and Data Cloud setup

Collaboration:

Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver user-friendly, intuitive solutions
Partner with the Salesforce Developer & Automation Engineer on projects requiring both administration and development expertise
Participate in strategic planning sessions to identify technology solutions that support business growth objectives

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
3+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience
Salesforce Administrator certification required; additional certifications preferred:
- Advanced Administrator
- Platform App Builder
- Data Cloud Consultant
- Data Architect or Application Architect (a plus)
Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud or CDP platforms strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience contributing to Salesforce architecture and data model design
Proficiency with Salesforce Flow Builder and declarative automation tools
Strong understanding of CRM architecture, data modeling, and best practices
Experience with data management, ETL processes, and data quality tools
Familiarity with SOQL and formula writing
Proficiency in creating reports, dashboards, and data visualizations
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Detail-oriented mindset with focus on clean data, security protocols, and scalable system design
Experience in healthcare technology or regulated industries preferred
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
