The Information Technology Division serves as the backbone of innovation for the Department of Labor & Industries (L&I), delivering impactful technology solutions that directly support the agency’s mission and business priorities. As a member of this team, you won’t just build applications, you’ll help drive the systems that support essential functions like Budget, Human Resources, Security, and Workplace Safety & Health.
In this role, you’ll be trusted to develop, enhance, and maintain high-visibility, mission-critical enterprise applications that support the BOSS development teams. Your work will directly influence systems that support the Office of Human Resources, Budget Office, Internal Audit, and Information Technology Security Office divisions of Labor and Industries.
A significant focus of this position will be the use of Microsoft's Power Platform, including Power Apps (canvas and model-driven), Power Automate, and Dataverse, to build and modernize applications, automate workflows, and streamline how L&I employees interact with agency data. You'll apply Power Fx, JavaScript, and REST API integration skills to connect Power Platform solutions to enterprise data sources and extend low-code development into production-ready, enterprise-grade tools.
Working in a collaborative, agile environment, you’ll contribute to a high-performing team that values innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Using modern tools like Azure DevOps and a structured software development lifecycle (SDLC) approach, you’ll help deliver high-quality solutions while continuously refining processes and practices.

For this position, teleworking may be up to full time with the expectation of attending in person meetings and training occasionally or upon business needs. The assigned duty station for this position is Tumwater, WA.
