Full Job Description

Job Brief

Diamond Technology Innovations is currently seeking an energetic individual committed to representing the company in a positive manner as a full-time Staff Accountant reporting to the Controller. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, enjoys variety, and excels at multi-tasking, providing support for key accounting functions. This candidate should also be team-oriented with a professional demeanor and communication style for interacting with a diverse group of employees. Attention to detail will be necessary to ensure consistent and timely processing of transactions. Responsibilities include processing, recording, and tracking Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Credit Card transactions with accuracy and timeliness.

General Duties

· Match vendor invoices and receiving documents for Inventory transactions and goods/services.

· Enter and code all approved vendor invoices and employee expense reports for payment.

· Initiate Accounts Payable check runs on a weekly basis, ensuring timely payment of balances due. Verify against vendor statements as needed.

· Initiate wire transfer payments within the banking system.

· Enter, code, & reconcile all credit card charges for multiple cardholders.

· Generate daily customer invoices; create manual invoices upon request.

· Apply daily cash receipts to open customer invoices, follow up on exceptions.

· Credit Card Processing - Process incoming customer cc payments, when necessary (low volume), ensuring compliance with all PCI policies and third-party processor protocols.

· Initiate customer contact to follow up on open credits, invoices, or other transactions, using GAL ERP tools, email, and phone calls, within established policy for aging balances. Ensure timely collections.

· Create AR Credit Memos associated with returns or concessions, upon notice of eligibility and approval.

· Assist in daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of key statistical and financial data, including Sales Revenue, Taxes, AR/AP Aging, Purchase Orders, Inventory, and similar areas

· Assist in master data setups, such as vendors (AP), and customers (AR), as assigned to ensure segregation of duties in the business processes.

· Assist in form collection and maintenance.

· Prepare information for regulatory reporting as assigned.

· Work on special projects as requested.

· Assist with journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and tax filing input for the monthly closing process.

· Participate with the team for event planning and organizing, primarily for internal employee events.

· Foster continuous improvement of processes and procedures by sharing ideas, thoughts, or concerns to be addressed.

Requirements

· BS/BA Degree in Accounting or related field (Preferred).

· Knowledge of ERP systems (Preferred)

· Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint).

· Ability to perform detailed and accurate data entry.

· Proficient math skills and ability to calculate financial outcomes.

· Proven accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred, in a manufacturing environment; job costing experience is a plus.

· Strong attention to detail and problem solving.

· Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

· Ethical.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills as customers and vendors are in various countries.

· Strong organizational skills.

· Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.

· Ability to succeed in a team environment while upholding procedures and processes.

· Team-oriented personality and professional demeanor.

· On-site position located in West Olympia.
