Full Job Description

The Sprouted Sage Day Program provides individualized, strength-based support in a pre-school like setting, offering small-group learning opportunities for children ages 12 months to 7 years. Rooted in neuro-affirming practices, our program prioritizes each child’s unique learning style, communication preferences, and sensory needs. We celebrate neurodiversity by fostering a respectful, inclusive, and child-led approach to intervention.

Our multidisciplinary team includes Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Behavior Technicians (BTs), Classroom Teachers, Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP), and Occupational Therapists (OT), all working collaboratively to provide comprehensive care. Treatment goals are tailored to support functional communication and language development, social reciprocity, adaptive behavior, emotional regulation, play, sensory processing, and fine and gross motor skills—all while honoring the child’s autonomy and natural development.

Sprouted Sage is seeking full-time behavior technicians to join our team. We are looking for engaging, dedicated, and caring individuals who have experience working with toddlers and children. Highlights are: Making a difference in the lives of children and their families, gaining professional experience in the behavioral health field, working with a team of passionate clinical staff, delivering individualized neuro-affirming care in a nurturing environment, classroom communities with teacher and BCBA support, spacious gross motor and sensory areas inside and outside, health insurance options, as well as retirement and life insurance. Qualities needed for this position include: great organizational skills, kindness and compassion, positivity and empathy. We are looking for conscientious individuals who are seeking to grow professionally and who work well with others.

Behavior Technician Duties and Responsibilities:

-Implement programming set forth by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)

-Lead one-on-one and/or group therapy sessions under the supervision of a classroom teacher and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst

-Collect in the moment data in addition to the completion of a daily therapy note

-Monitor the child’s skill acquisition progress and implement behavior intervention plans

-Assist in the development and maintenance of program materials

-Assist in the completion of daily hygiene and toileting protocols as needed for each child

-Collaborate and communicate with a multidisciplinary team including Behavior Analysts, Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and Classroom Teachers

-Attend supervision sessions

Behavior Technician Qualifications and Skills:

-No prior Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) experience is required as we provide extensive initial and ongoing training to our team members (40 hour initial training)

-You must have work or life experience with children, the ability to play and engage with children, and a passion for helping others!

-Attained high school diploma

-Pass state and federal background checks

-Professional communication skills

-Ability to lift at least 25 pounds frequently

-Possess ability to engage in rigorous activity including, but not limited to, going up and down stairs, walking at a fast pace, and transitioning from floor-based activities to table-based activities quickly

-Possess ability to walk and stand approximately 75% of the workday

-Possess ability to bend, kneel, squat, crawl, pivot, and sit on floor throughout the workday

-Possess ability to run or quickly move short distances (up to 100 feet)

Salary: $18-22 per hour

Full Time Schedule: In-Person, In Center, Monday through Friday - 8:00AM - 4:30 PM
