Full Job Description

Careage Hills is looking for leaders interested in joining our Administrator in Training program. This is a unique and intensive on-the-job training program designed for individuals seeking initial licensure as a Skilled Nursing Home Administrator and a career as a health care executive. We are committed to providing an excellent clinical experience for our patients and an amazing work environment for our employees.

Location: Enter Location.. Ability to relocate after training is completed is preferred.

Schedule: The AIT Program is a full-time, multi-month program

Compensation: The position comes with a base salary while in training. Once licensed and acting as a full-time Licensed Nursing Home Administrator include attractive compensation package including a competitive base salary and incentive structure will replace the AIT base salary.

Overview:

As AIT, you will receive practical on-the-job training in a nursing home or assisted living environment under the direct supervision of an experienced Administrator preceptor/mentor. The training program includes rotation through the various departments and duties in a skilled nursing facility; education on the interrelationships of the facility with outside parties and government agencies (such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services); and a study of regulations and requirements associated with the operation of a skilled nursing facility. Other topics of education for those in the AIT position include business/fiscal accounting management and principles of risk management and health care compliance.

Bachelor’s Degree
AIT candidates must meet the minimum regulatory requirements for licensure in their state of intended residence
Professional and tactful demeanor allowing him/her to effectively deal with personnel, residents/patients, family members, visitors, physicians, government agencies/personnel, and the general public even under stressful or emotional circumstances
An inspirational leader and mentor who brings out the best in his/her managers and staff
Possesses a keen sense of business management guided by a strong set of values and ethics
Ability to lead large, diverse teams
Ability to handle difficult conversations
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High emotional intelligence
