The Reserve a Grand Venue & Barrelhouse The Venue | Northwest Indiana
Create the Experience. Win the Booking. Build the Relationship.
The Reserve a Grand Venue and Barrelhouse The Venue are seeking an energetic, polished, and highly organized Venue Sales Manager to lead the sales journey for two of Northwest Indiana’s distinctive event venues.
This is a relationship-driven sales role for someone who loves hospitality, enjoys creating memorable experiences, and knows how to turn an inquiry into a booked event.
The Venue Sales Manager will be the primary point of contact from the first inquiry through the signed contract, guiding prospective clients through the venue experience, selling the vision, and ensuring a seamless transition to the Venue Coordinator for event planning and execution.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead the Sales Process
- Respond promptly and professionally to wedding, social, corporate, and private event inquiries.
- Build relationships with prospective clients and understand their vision, needs, budget, and expectations.
- Conduct engaging, personalized venue tours.
- Develop proposals, communicate pricing and packages, and confidently overcome objections.
- Follow up consistently to move prospects toward booking.
- Manage the sales pipeline from inquiry through signed contract and deposit.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, tours, bookings, and follow-up activity.
- Meet established sales, conversion, and revenue goals.
Own the Client Experience
- Serve as the client's trusted resource throughout the sales process.
- Help clients understand venue policies, packages, capacities, timelines, and options.
- Create excitement around their event and demonstrate how each venue can bring their vision to life.
- Identify opportunities to upsell enhancements, bar packages, and additional services.
- Maintain exceptional communication so clients feel informed and confident in their decision.
- Provide a thorough handoff to the Venue Events Coordinator once the event is booked.
Drive Marketing & Partnerships
- Help develop and execute strategies to generate leads and increase bookings.
- Maintain venue listings across relevant wedding, event, and hospitality platforms.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on social media, digital advertising, photography, promotions, and content.
- Develop relationships with wedding professionals, corporate organizations, hotels, restaurants, community groups, and other referral sources.
- Participate in open houses, bridal events, networking opportunities, showcases, and community events.
- Stay current on industry trends and identify opportunities to position the venues competitively.
Manage Scheduling & Internal Communication
- Maintain accurate event calendars and availability.
- Coordinate tentative holds, tours, bookings, and venue availability.
- Ensure contracts, deposits, and required documentation are completed accurately and on time.
- Communicate event details and client expectations to the appropriate internal teams.
Create a Seamless Handoff
Once an event is booked, the Venue Events Coordinator takes ownership of planning and execution through the event date. The Sales Manager will ensure the transition includes all relevant information, including:
- Client expectations and vision
- Event type and guest count
- Contract and package selections
- Special requests and preferences
- Budget considerations
- Vendor information
- Outstanding questions or commitments
- Potential concerns or service opportunities
The client should never feel like they are being passed from one person to another. The handoff should feel like a seamless continuation of exceptional service.
