Full Job Description

Background:

Midwest Asian Health Association (MAHA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing health disparities and improving access to care for medically underserved populations by providing culturally responsive and linguistically appropriate services.

MAHA is seeking a full-time program coordinator for the organization’s Gambling Prevention program. This position works from Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM in the main office at 218 W 26th Street, Chicago, IL unless traveling to outreach events. This position will report to the Substance Use Program Manager.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Assist the Program Manager with planning of program strategies for outreach, activities, and program evaluation.

· Implement program strategies for outreach, activities, and evaluation.

· Collect and track data collection for reporting to funders.

· Prepare data for programmatic reports.

· Develop and maintain partnerships with third party stakeholders for program activities.

· Attend and represent the organization in meetings with funders and other third party stakeholders.

· Assist in monitoring of programmatic activities to meet compliance requirements set by the funder.

· Attend mandated training as required by the funder.

· Participate in programmatic audits as required by the funder.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Other Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, psychology, education, or a related field required. Master’s degree a plus.

· Experience and credentialing in gambling prevention, substance use, and education is preferred.

· Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in public health or behavioral health services.

· Has experience in community outreach and working with people from diverse backgrounds.

· Bilingual in a Chinese dialect and English required

· Must have reliable transportation to travel through city and suburbs

· Must have flexible schedule for working during weekends and late afternoons to host/participate in outreach activities and events

Benefits:

· Annual salary of $48,000 - $60,000, depending on candidate experience
