Full Job Description

Modern Forge is actively recruiting Lead Quality Technicians/CMM Programmers. Apply now!

Position Description:

Direct / support Quality Technicians / Inspectors with guidance from Quality Manager as required.
Program CMM / Articulating arms as required (Pcdimis and CMM Manager)
Maintain Gage calibration system.
Conduct Gage R&R as required.
Perform / support 1st Article inspection / reporting.
Perform Cpk studies as directed.
Maintain MRB with assistance of quality team.
Conduct internal & external audits within the frameworks of internal performance system and ISO standards to improve business processes.
Work with Modern team to analyze and determine nonconforming material causes
Work closely with Quality Engineer, Quality Inspectors, Manufacturing Engineering, and the Value Streams to continually improve processes.
Other duties as assigned

Requirements/Experience:

Required

High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a quality professional
CMM Programming certification (PcDimis and CMM Manager)
1 year Gage Calibration experience
Strong ability to read prints and interpret GD&T
Experience in reading & interpreting specifications and technical documents
Work with varying surface plate heights for inspection with the ability to carry / lift 20 pounds.

Preferred

Experience in CNC and or fabrication manufacturing environment
Strong Project Management Skills
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong team leadership skills; ability to effectively train others
Qualified auditor in systems such as ISO 9001:2015, AS9100D.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

A mix of working in the quality lab and in the shop.
Work with varying surface plate heights for inspection with the ability to carry / lift 20 pounds.

10 hour shift (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
