Outside Sales Representative - Virginia Territory

Carswell is seeking a talented, self-motivated Outside Sales Representative to become an integral part of our energetic and growing team. The ideal candidate will have excellent presentation, communication, organization, and follow-up skills, along with strong attention to detail and solid computer proficiency.

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who understands the value of selling with integrity while representing Carswell’s company values. The keys to our success have always been building strong relationships with our customers and maintaining detailed product and industry knowledge.

This position will be responsible for covering the Virginia territory and developing relationships with both existing and prospective customers.

Key Responsibilities

The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for:

Partnering with the inside sales team to develop a territory plan that translates into quarterly objectives, strategies, and tactics to generate sales and revenue growth.
Prioritizing accounts to maximize territory penetration and sales opportunities.
Understanding Carswell’s products and services in order to solve customer challenges and meet customer needs.
Using presentations, product demonstrations, phone calls, email, and marketing materials to support the sales process and close business.
Developing new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing customers.
Maintaining consistent and professional follow-up with customers and prospects.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should have:

2–3 years of outside, direct business-to-business sales experience.
Outdoor power equipment sales experience preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to generate leads and close sales.
Experience with consultative selling methods.
New business development experience.
A strong drive to achieve goals, with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding expectations.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package includes a base salary with unlimited commission opportunities, a company vehicle, and paid company expenses.
