Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our growing automotive organization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and understands the importance of accuracy, compliance, and employee support.

Key Responsibilities:

Process payroll for a high volume of employees accurately and on time
Administer union and non-union payroll, including contract interpretation (preferred)
Maintain and track employee benefits, PTO, and leave balances
Process new hire onboarding, including payroll and benefits setup
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Address employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies promptly
Maintain accurate employee records and payroll documentation

Qualifications:

Payroll experience in the automotive industry or similar high-volume environment
Union payroll experience preferred
Strong knowledge of payroll processes, benefits administration, and PTO tracking
Experience with onboarding and employee lifecycle payroll changes
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Payroll system experience (Netchex, ADP, or similar preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37 – 42 per week
