Horizon Driving School's primary goal is to provide safe and professional driving instruction to new drivers in BlueAsh, West Chester and Mason, Ohio and the surrounding areas. **We are offering PAID TRAINING to join our Team and get your Ohio Class D Instructor License to teach teenagers and adults to drive!
Duties
- Deliver engaging driving lessons tailored to individual learner needs, ensuring they understand traffic laws and safe driving practices
- Assess learners’ skills through practical driving assessments and provide constructive feedback for improvement
- Prepare learners for licensing tests by reviewing key concepts, maneuvering techniques, and safety protocols
- Maintain detailed records of each lesson, progress reports, and learner evaluations to track development over time
- Foster a positive learning environment by encouraging questions, building trust, and managing classroom dynamics effectively
- Stay updated on local driving regulations, licensing requirements, and best instructional practices
- Promote safe driving habits and responsible behavior both during lessons and in everyday situations
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with 5+ years of driving experience
- Clean driving record (2 points or less)
- Valid Ohio driver's license with 5+ years of driving experience with appropriate endorsements; additional certifications in driver education are a plus
- Pass background checks (BCI & FBI)
- Commitment to 52+ hours of paid training
- Proven experience in driving with a clean record and strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety standards
- Prior teaching or classroom management experience, especially with teen learners or new drivers
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain concepts and motivate students of diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work effectively with students, adapting teaching methods to individual learning styles
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records and lesson plans
- Enthusiastic attitude with a commitment to fostering safe driving habits and lifelong learning
